Work Team Joys
Chocolate chips, cranberries, trail mix, granola bars…. They did save some room for Bolivian food. (I think). Due to new restrictions on US visitors, we wonder if we will be able to enjoy other work teams in the future. They do so much good here! The encouragement they bring and motivation we long tremors need to get going again. My Bolivian Christian friends said, that the youth coming from so far away, was such a good example for them. Their service put them to shame. They were very impressed by the “service” and work they put into a place they may never see again. These kids did work hard! Their love of God and obedience was evident.
This year the teams helped us with the new construction; they held a VBS instructing over 400 village kids about Jesus. They washed kids in the streets. They visited some Compassion projects and helped the villagers at the village church to pile rocks, haul dirt and mix cement. They also went camping to spread the word in a near by village. Lots of hard work. Lots of blessings and lots of fun.
